Pool suppliers experienced a surge in sales at the end of November thanks to the increasingly popular special sales days.
The American tradition sees prices plummet on the day after Thanksgiving, with the British market adopting the tradition in recent years. For suppliers to the residential pool market these savings are a huge draw from people looking to secure an installation in preparation for the summer.
Andrea Morrison from Wensum Pools said the sales were a timely boost. “Drumming up sales this time of year is always a bonus. We have been running sales through the week with up to 50 per cent off. “It’s doing well so far but we will have to see how it goes on the big day and we are opening on a Saturday which we don’t usually do – it will be interesting to see how that goes.”
