There’s a sense of renewed focus in the Centurion Leisure team at the moment.
A family-run business, Centurion Leisure has been building and maintaining domestic and commercial pools and wellness centres for over 48 years. Customers rely on owner George Clifton, his sister Queenie and the team of long-standing engineers, for their knowledge experience to solve complex pool and spa issues and keep them in tip top condition.
Having recently been granted a licence by the Financial Conduct Authority, the Essex-based company can now offer finance deals to clients, making quality hot tubs affordable to most.
“To now be able to tailor finance deals and make a quality hot tubs affordable to all is exciting and has given us that extra drive to ensure people in the South East know all the different products we can now offer,” says George.
“We’ve always offered quality hot tubs at affordable prices but last year decided to concentrate on selling the beautiful Marquis Spa ranges and have had quite a few different styles pass through the showroom,” reveals George.
“We were one of the first in the country to bring over an ATV which is an impressive piece of kit for the price. Interest is gaining and having one on the entrance to the showroom always creates a stir.”
With a client base of over 600, George has relied on word of mouth and recommendations over the years to land the larger pool projects. With such a large client base refurbishments and remedial works keep his team busy throughout the year.
The Centurion Leisure showroom in Hornchurch, Essex is an impressive oak heritage building fully stocked with all things pool and spa. There are also three ranges of Marquis Spas on offer, plus the brand new Aquatic Training Vessel (ATV) that has pride of place in the facility. Make-A-Wish This year sees Centurion Leisure continuing their cooperation with the Make-A-Wish foundation providing the Marquis Wish spa for children in their area with life threatening conditions.
Centurion’s goal for the next few years is to accelerate advertising and ensure that people know where they are and what they can offer. George says: “Being just behind a high street means the showroom is not particularly visible and people still visit saying that they had no idea the showroom existed.
“It’s a challenge that the team will concentrate on through increased web activity, email campaigns and local advertising. “But for now our large client base is keeping the jobs rolling in and the above ground pool market makes our summer seasons in the showroom particularly busy.”
