Leading cover manufacturer Ocea has welcomed a new member to its UK team. Michael Witney, who is already a familiar face in the industry, has joined the company in a Sales Executive role, where his main objective will be to promote Ocea’s growing product catalogue to both existing and new customers. This will also coincide with the addition of the new Glide safety cover system to the Ocea slide and the promotion of HydroStar turbine-driven counter flow system and new developments in the Ocea automatic pool cover range.
Michael began his career in the pool industry in 2009, when he joined Pollet Pool Group as a Sales Representative. During his eight years at Pollet, Michael’s role developed into Technical Sales Support for the whole UK pools division, which has given him a solid foundation of expertise and skills for his new role at Ocea. “My previous experience of promoting a wide range of products to the pool industry has set me in good stead for my new role at Ocea and I am excited about the product potential of the Ocea range,” says Michael.
COLOUR CHOICE : “I have been hugely impressed with the wide range of colour choice we can offer, the high-quality finish of not only the slats but also the pit structures. What really stands out is the short lead times we offer of just two to three weeks from date of order. The additional range of products, HydroStar and the safety cover will also give us exciting opportunities.” The appointment is timed to coincide with a number of new Ocea initiatives including the addition of three vibrant new colours to its broad palette of colours of slats with the addition of Meadow Haze, Onyx Black and Midnight Blue. Ocea has also introduced LED illuminated IP68, press button controls, the Edge bench poolside cover and expanded its scope to 12m width to be able to accommodate commercial pools with its top-selling automatic cover.
