INDUSTRY INVESTMENT IN TRAINING

STUDENTS FROM 15 COMPANIES have taken their first step on the ISPE ladder this year.

Students recorded some of the highest marks in the Institute’s history at this year’s exams. A whopping 50 students attended the 2022 ISPE exams earlier this year. “We can reveal that there were some incredibly high marks achieved by some,” said ISPE secretary Ross Alcock. “We look forward to presenting the cups and shields to the winners in due course.” Underlining the industry’s investment in training, the newly qualified ISPE Certified Technicians represent a cross-section of 15 companies involved in water leisure. The Institute will be presenting various awards later in the year as part of the 126th One-Day Seminar but can confirm the successful students as:
• James Beaton – Penney Technical Services
• Tyler Bello – Guncast Swimming Pools
• Dave Bretherton – Pollet Pool Group UK
• Heather Brigden – McLean – SCP UK
• Ryan Burns – Grayfox Swimming Pools
• Sean Clouter – Harlequin Swimming Pools
• Lee Dodd – CheshireWellness
• Sam Gunter – Harlequin Swimming Pools
• Lee Haynes – Rockingham Swimming Pools
• Jess Holt – SCP (UK)
• Adam Hudson – Grayfox Swimming Pools
• Julian Lloyd – All Swim
• Alex Miron – Pollet Pool Group
• Nick Pagett – Plastica

• Ryan Shadbolt – Neuman Aqua
• Ian Skinner – London Swimming Pool Co. Servicing
• Scott Smith – Rod Hudson Pools
• Matt Sylvester – Alan Bettin Swimming Pools

The 2023 ISPE Exams will take place on Tuesday 14th March 2023, at Cobham, Surrey. All registered students will receive a letter with booking form in January 2023. At some point in mid-February the ISPE hope to present, subject to demand, another of the popular Back- to-Basics/Revision Seminars, which are open to all members and non-members for a small fee but free of charge to ISPE students.

The four ISPE examiners will each give a presentation on their particular subject looking at how to approach questions and giving advice about where marks may be won or lost. Whilst attendance at this seminar is not part of the ISPE Home Study Course, increasingly we are finding that many of those who do attend find the day extremely useful in the run up to their exams. Register your interest now by emailing ross@ispe.co.uk or telephone the ISPE office (01603 499959) and we will keep you informed as soon as a date is fixed.
