Pool and Spa SCENE reports exclusively from the recent Paramount dealer event…

PRODUCT ATTENTION was centred on Paramount’s key product combination.

New and existing customers grasped the opportunity to see and better understand the potential of Paramount Pools’ key products over two open days. The informal style of the event suited nearly 100 visitors who were able to pace themselves through a selection of product presentations, over two separate days in March, at the company’s base near Hook, Hampshire.

Visitors were able to come and go as they please during the 9 am to 4.30pm open door event. All day, on-site catering, assisted the networking opportunities while product attention was centred on the popular combination of Paramount’s Tilestone one-piece pool with an Ultraflow counter-current system the Aquamatic safety cover systems along with Waterco products, lighting and stainless-steel fittings.

“One of the main reasons for holding an inhouse event was to showcase the larger items that we cannot logistically to take to an exhibition event like Spatex,” explained Paramount managing director Steve Martin. “So often at an exhibition event you have a very limited window to discuss and show perspective customers new products. “This enabled us to spend much more time going through all aspects of our products and for customers to meet the staff and the suppliers behind the product.”

Paramount Pools founder Keith Martin was a welcome addition to the Paramount team turn-out to support son Steve, grandson Lewis, alongside a strong Paramount line-up. Trade customers were able to view Paramount’s dedicated showroom for automatic covers and Ultraflow system which, in turn, will assist them in selling to clients in the future. New products include the AquaCover Slatted systems, manufactured by Technics & Applications (T&A), Belgium. Since 1995, T&A has been producing high-end quality slatted cover systems.

Due to constant investment and innovation, they are one of Europe’s leading manufacturers with a 15,000 sqm production area, selling in excess of 10,000 units annually. Keeping price increases to a minimum, this year Paramount has introduced QR codes on several products enabling dealers and and their clients to view PDF technical information or video presentation on their mobile devices.

“Dealers were able to see and touch a Tilestone one-piece pool with Ultraflow system as a prime example as well as a 5 x 2m plunge pool, two types automatic cover systems, heat pumps, lighting and stainless fittings,” Steve said. “This hands-on approach enabled some dealers, especially those who sell our Aquamatic safety cover, to see the process or how we assemble the cover system from start to finish,” he added.

“Having gauged the response from all the staff and subsequent emails of support from attendees thanking us, it seems to have been a great success,” Steve reported. “Seeing the different level of interaction and response from our customers we will definitely be implementing the event again in the future.”
