Passing in the four sections of the ISPE exams elevates successful student members to Certified Technicians and evidence of passing the ISPE exams is one of the criteria to obtaining the blue CSCS card for ‘Swimming Pool and Leisure Systems Installer’.
ISPE Members and those who have passed the ISPE exams may apply for the card, and further details are available on the JIB PMES website, https://www.jib-pmes.org/ The next ‘hands-on’ ISPE Filtration workshop will take place in November 2024 in East Sussex, at Plastipack’s premises.
ISPE are holding a waiting list of those who may be interested in attending and as soon as a date is fixed, those on the list will be contacted to see if they are available on the chosen day. This is an excellent day for those new to the pool industry, and even more experienced fitters who want a bit of a refresher session.
There are three theory presentation looking at pipework installation and pipe sizing, sizing a pump and sand filter for a domestic installation and then one on installation and service tips. In addition, there are ‘hand’s on’ sessions stripping down and re-building pumps and filters and delegates get to put a pipework test set together.
