Jersey-based Florida Pools & Spas have proved that liner pools can have the ‘wow’ factor, with the recent installation of a stylish outdoor liner pool for a private residential client.
Florida Pools & Spas was contacted by the client who was undertaking a substantial refurbishment to their property. The client wanted to install a liner pool that would be in-keeping with the rest of the modern development. The in-house design team at Florida Pools produced an overall plan to suit the requirements and criteria.
Once approved, the first stage of the project commenced with the removal of the existing 1970’s style kidney-shaped pool.
Gary Hotton of Florida Pools explains: “Liner pools are often seen as second class compared to mosaic tiled swimming pools, however, designed and dressed correctly we proved that this need not be the case.”
Gary continues: “An important part of the brief was that the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly products were incorporated. Items such as the Alligator purification unit and thermal insulation were installed to envelop the whole pool and an electric air source heat pump was fitted.”
The client wished to maximise the space available so a 10m x 5m pool was constructed with a depth ranging from 1m to 1.83m. A set of Roman end style pool steps were incorporated at one end to offer ease of entry into the pool. The chosen liner was a blue Roman mosaic liner from Paramount Pool Products, installed on a felt matting to offer an elegant finish. To continue the sleek look, a bespoke diving platform complete with a waterfall, recessed patio water jets and bespoke granite coping stones were installed.
