The Bristol-based team of Ursell Pools & Wellness felt fortunate to be appointed to deliver this adventurous compact indoor pool and wellness area in an immaculate Regency house in Cheltenham. The team worked closely with the client, a renowned architect, designer and entrepreneur, to create the most perfect extension to this property. They incorporated a pool, spa, sauna, steam, showers, outdoor plunge showers, film screen, stretch ceiling, environmental control, automatic pool cover and many other state of the art features.
Attention to detail on this project is second to none. The sprayed concrete pool is full of features with an elaborate combination of massage stations, counter current swim jet, four individual water massage cannons, floor air pads and wall jets. The pool is completed with an integrated, automatic insulated slatted cover that is housed in a pit under the pool floor, fibre optic lights, mosaic and large format porcelain tiles Ursell’s environmental control department designed a modern system to distribute warm dry air through grilles above the sliding glass wall that opens the pool up to the terrace for perfect outdoor living in absolute comfort.
The pool is complemented with an outdoor Marquis hot tub, recessed into a purpose made bund and made flush to the ground keeping it discrete and blending in to the environment. The project was awarded a Gold Standard in the 2019 UK Pool & Spa Awards.
