Team work paid off for the Hydropool UK team as they reported record sales at the Ideal Home Show for the third year in succession. With up to 17 sales personnel staffing the stand at the annual Earl’s Court consumer home show, Hydropool were taking no chances, completing the huge display area a day earlier this year to allow the entire team to take part in a bespoke pre-event sales training day.

Local businessmen Brian O’Donnell, owner of Cairngorm Spas and Stewart Macintyre, boss of Highland Heat and Power, have brought their two companies together to create the Highland Home Centre.

Being held for the first time at Coventry’s RICOH arena, SPATEX 2014, the pool and spa exhibition that raises vital funds for the promotion of the industry, will take place from Sunday to Tuesday February 2 to 4.

A much welcomed shot in the arm for the spa trade, The Sunday Times, The Daily Mail, The Express, several radio stations and a major feature on the BBC One Show raised awareness of the benefits of owning a back garden hot tub.
This outdoor swimming pool project was of particular interest to pool installers, Jetform Services, of Essex, because the client had a clear passion for swimming. Eight years ago, the Jetform team had constructed a 10 x 5m indoor pool in the basement at the same property. This time around, the client brief was to provide a training pool to be used daily throughout the year.
