Under the leadership of Martin Ursell, the business has been evolving its wellness offering over three decades.
With £2.5m on the order books for 2020, the 20-strong team’s joined up approach for both commercial and residential clients, has earned them a loyal following — particularly in the demanding sectors of five star boutique hotels and luxury retirement homes. “The rebrand is making a positive change while we are on the front foot,” explains Adam Neill, who has recently been promoted to the Ursell Pools & Wellness board. “We are elevating every aspect of the business,” he explains. “The name change is far more in line with who we are now and better reflects the top level of work we are undertaking.

With a breakdown of 70% commercial clients and 30% from the residential sector, Martin Ursell believes the Ursell Pools & Wellness offering is unique: “The business is thriving with a healthy order book and we believe that is because we offer a joined up, start to completion service from design, through to supply and install,” Martin points out.
“The business is flourishing, we feel the avenue we are going down as a combining pools and wellness offers the market a turnkey delivery, within a fabulous niche which is where we want to be going.” The Ursell Pools & Wellness label is the company’s best marketing tool. Every completed project attracts admiring and envious glances as the team never fails to deliver the wow factor. Martin explains: “A lot of our business involves long term commitments. We will not be on site for a recently secured hotel project until 2021. “But vitally, we are involved early for design meetings to work with client and any other contractors, advising what works and doesn’t work so they are guaranteed a maintenance free facility with minimal problems on commission.” Growing organically since 1989, the company believe wellness should not be an addition, but an integral part of specifications. “Wellness is not just a side element to a project,” says Adam. “It is about having the imagination and experience to deliver a complete conception to delivery experience, the highest levels “Because, with Ursell Pools & Wellness, everything is done in-house, the level of project management control is unrivalled.” Working alongside key product suppliers, Anapos, the team played a key part and has just seen the wraps come off a revamped Aqua Sana facility at Center Parcs’ Longleat resort. Martin says: “This is a very exciting refurbishment and the experience rooms are so different with waterfalls and clever use of lighting. “There are background sounds such as the song of tropical bird and beautiful essences,” he reveals.
