Aqua Platinum Projects were appointed as the design and build contractor for the resident wellness facilities at Dovehouse Street, a retirement facility showcasing elegance and luxury in the heart of London’s Chelsea area. The resident’s wellness facilities include a 15-metre deck level swimming pool with a bespoke triple slot detail for the level deck trough, complete with parallel secondary drainage slots to pick up excess surface water. The swimming pool and the vitality pool are located on the lower level and accessed via the spa.
The pool hall is complete with a bespoke Himalayan salt sauna, which gives health and wellness benefits through Halotherapy. Salt levels in our bodies affect our energy, cell activity and blood sugar levels. The negatively charged ions found in Himalayan salt help to improve our moods and overall health. Beneath the world-class facilities lies the plantroom which, in their own words, is the best plantroom that Aqua Platinum have ever built.
The state-of-the-art filtration equipment installed is of the highest quality that could only be found in a Devin specification, from the custom-made pumps and strainers to the deep bed filters, medium rate UV units and much, much more. The control panels were made to order to allow full BIM integration, allowing the facilities management team to control and monitor the systems with the utmost ease.

“No detail has been left unconsidered; not only to achieve a beautifully designed pool but also to provide the Rolls Royce of plant rooms, based on a Devin Consultancy specification, this is the most incredible project we have been a part of,” comments Aqua Platinum Projects’ marketing specialist, Alicia Tuner- Sales. “Our designers thoroughly thought out the strategy to deliver this detail which included bespoke stainless steel supporting frames, ultimately achieving a crisp and clean linear aesthetic,” Alicia adds.
“The trough continues seamlessly through to the vitality pool which includes two air massage recliners and a large stainless-steel bench for residents to enjoy.“ Aqua Platinum Projects were also appointed as the design and build contractors for Audley Nightingale Place, a multi-million-pound luxury swimming pool retirement complex based in Clapham Common. Formerly a five-storey Metropolitan Police HQ, the deluxe development includes a 14m basement swimming pool with a feature wall, two swim jet counter-current systems within the swimming pool.
The plantroom, located in the basement of the development, houses a high-quality filtration system that has been installed by our in-house engineers. This includes two Waterco 900m deep bed filters for the swimming pool, two Waterco 750mm deep bed filters for the spa pool, high-quality filtration pumps and fully automatic chemical dosing systems. This ensures the swimming pool and spa maintain optimum water clarity and sanitation. The stunning swimming pool installed at the world’s first super boutique hotel in London is simply a class of its own. The pool has a beautiful slot channel detail on two sides of the pool, keeping the water away from the pool deck Another leading wellness contender, Buckingham Swimming Pools was commissioned to carry out an installation of a 25.00 x 5.00m with 1.20m water depth lap pool and a 2.90m x 2.30m spa for the private leisure facilities for apartment living in Canary Wharf in London. The Buckingham team worked closely with the developers, consultants, and design team to deliver a project to the highest quality and finishes. The scope of works included the design and construction of a sprayed RC pool and spa shells as well as the structural columns that arch over the pool area. The ultimate combination of finishes was used, including natural stone pebble-sheen, Stonegres Ardesia and stone coping tiles to complement the outdoor botanical impression.
