Sterling Hydrotech, part of Marlowe Environmental Services, has been granted a Royal Warrant in recognition of their services in the maintenance of swimming pools for His Majesty the King and the royal household. The company first became involved in the refurbishment and upgrade of the swimming pool at Buckingham Palace more than ten years ago. The company was initially invited to tender for the refurbishment of the Buckingham Palace pool plant equipment to bring the pool up to a commercial standard, with filter refurbishment, UV and new circulation pumps with VSD drives as well as a plate heat exchanger.
Following initial bids, in 2014, the Sterling Hydrotech team was contracted to carry out the upgrade that involved replacing the old cast iron pipework with PVC pipe work, new valves and installing new pool grilles in addition to partially retiling some areas of the Victorian pool. Since carrying out the upgrade work, Sterling has maintained the pool plant equipment with a service agreement for the last nine years.

Sterling Hydrotech applied for the Royal Warrant after completing five years of continuous service to the Royal Household.
