“For automated systems, the fabric versus slatted covers are pretty much on par in terms of overall build cost. The slatted systems tend to be slightly cheaper but pit construction and lid coverings tend to offset any savings that are made.”

Steve advises that having the right brochure material and above all understanding the mechanics of how each system works is imperative for the installer. “To the consumer every cover looks the same so it is fundamental that the pool dealer coveys the merit of each system,” says Steve.
“Ultimately, investing in a display cover system enables the dealer to show the safety benefits by example as the potential consumer can walk on the cover and see the mechanics in operation.”
