Involved in the hot tub industry from a young lad, working alongside such influential figures as his uncle and his Dad, Andy Wroot has been an ambassador for the Sundance range for over 20 years. “As far as I am concerned, they are simply the best spas available,” enthuses Andy. “They are well-designed, well-built and are customer-friendly,” he adds. We are standing in the immaculate setting of MySpa show site just off the A6, a few miles north of Leicester.

Andy extols the virtues of a SundanceTM range with minimal filter changes, non-moving jets and low level entries. Customers also appreciate the Sundance investment in the Teenage Cancer Trust with a donation to the worthy cause every time a Sundance spa is sold. Generally there are about 20 spas on display on the outdoor show site. Product is dominated by the Sundance models but backed up by a few strategic top sellers, to ensure all customer enquiry angles are covered.

The impressive Sundance Optima is their top selling spa. Based on increased interest, the swim spa offering is to be strengthened with the a strong choice of Covana cover lifters are proving immensely popular. WET TESTS Believed to be the UK’s largest wet test facility, a bespoke beach hut style building acts as a well-designed customer changing room. Andy and his teMy Spa 1am are strong advocates of the ‘try before you buy’ sales journey. Wet tests are bookable on line, via the company’s customer-focused website. “We know from experience, it’s impossible to know if a hot tub or swim spa is right for you without trying it out for yourself,” explains Andy. “That’s why we offer all prospective buyers the opportunity to come to our showroom and try out a selection of the wet test spas available, so we can identify the best match for each customer.” Recent investments have included the addition of a second, behind the- scenes office, while the original showroom office is the customer’s focal point. Working hand-in-glove with his wife Laura, Andy just celebrated his 40th birthday.

The milestone has triggered some hard thinking as the young family struggled with the challenge of managing a work vs life balance. “I found myself working seven days a week and missing the kids, but lifeshould be about living,” Andy shares. “Life is for living; you have to get the balance right.” It prompted investment in a business coach who has helped Laura and Andy restructure both their lives and business with investment in systems and schedules. Most crucially, MySpa invested in people like Jenni, a part time office administrator, who, when she bought a spa from MySpa, liked SUNDANCE ARE RECRUITING Part of the Jacuzzi family of companies, SundanceTM Spas are actively looking to recruit dealers across the UK and Eire. Andy is looking forward to more time out of the showroom, aiming for whole weekends off with Laura and the family as his goal by the end of 2020. But if you think that is a matter of taking any feet off the hot tub sales pedals, then think again. Andy and Laura have confirmed that MySpa will be opening their second Sundance showroom by the end of the year.
