Jamie Smith, of London Swimming Pools, and his wife, Caroline, hosted the recent British Swimming Pool Federation’s President’s Weekend held in and around historic Windsor.
The event was based at The Christopher Hotel, in Eton High Street, opposite the world-famous and architecturally stunning Eton School and a short walk from the River Thames, Windsor Castle and within easy walking distance of Windsor.
Following a dinner at the host hotel, guests met on the Windsor Promenade to embark on a boat trip along the Thames, seeing the magnificent views of Windsor, followed by time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the town, including the changing of the guard at the castle and the many shops dotted around the cobbled streets.
Guests met up again in the evening for dinner at The Boatman, Windsor’s only restaurant and public house on the river, nestled below Windsor Castle beside the River Thames and overlooking Eton Bridge.
After a heavy weekend of socialising, there was some business to be done as the BSPF meeting held after breakfast. Next year Jamie passes over the presidency to Pete Grinnall of Concept Spas.
