SCP Europe, a subsidiary of PoolCorp, the world’s largest wholesale distributor of swimming pool supplies and spas, chose Toledo in Spain as the venue for its biennial Vendor Showcase and Sales Conference recently.
Spain was the ideal location for the event as it coincided with the tenth anniversary of SCP Pool Spain’s 10th anniversary and the formal opening of its new Toledo premises. The event also provided the ideal opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the parent company, PoolCorp.
An attendance of more than 230 participants included SCP Europe’s sales, marketing, purchasing, technical and after-sales teams as well as PoolCorp’s top management.
The market’s primary suppliers, from 14 different countries, also took part with representatives staffing some 40 show stands and delivering over 50 technical and commercial seminars in the complimentary conference programme. They included Hayward, Pentair, Maytronics, Monarch, Kripsol, Rain Bird, Plastiflex, Balboa, Flexinox, Beachcomber, Vogue, UWE who were able to exchange information on market innovations in a convivial networking environment

On the final day, more than 100 VIP customers were also invited to see the products that will be on offer through SCP in 2014 and to talk directly with the vendors before the event closed with a gala dinner and a magnificent firework display.
