Outside, Mere’s golf course is one of the practice courses for the Open Championship. Originally created in the 1930s from 150 acres of Cheshire parkland, it has been described as the ‘Wentworth of the North’.

One deliberate design decision was that the Mere Spa should not have a consistent ‘house style’. Every space has its own identity, so as you move from room to room there is a constantly refreshed feeling of individuality and discovery challenging ones perceptions.
