A glowing customer review can be very persuasive and goes a long way in adding value and differentiation to your business.
Word of mouth marketing also plays a key role in trade accreditation and endorsement schemes. Many stand-out pool businesses are looking to cash in on these outstanding credentials.
TrustATrader, Which? Trusted Traders and Checkatrade are three of the most established mainstream referral schemes. Each provides an online directory of vetted tradesmen and businesses with contact details, company information and crucially, independent customer reviews.
“The Which? Trusted Traders scheme is not just about lead generation,” comments Raj Kakar-Clayton, Managing Director Which? Trusted Traders.
“It’s about enhancing trade businesses and giving consumers confidence in the quality of a traders’ service, because we know each trader has met our high standards and consumers know and trust Which?”
Gary McEwen, Founder and Managing Director of TrustATrader says the organisation cares about offering the best service, to both members, and the public. “We are very proud of the fact that we do not cold call and the only tradespeople who join our service contact us,” says McEwen.
Surrey-based BTU Pools has been in business for over 40 years and became a member of Checkatrade three years ago. “What attracted us to the scheme was that it worked on a number of levels – as a directory, as an online search tool and as a means of securing really good feedback from customers,” explains Paul Merritt, CEO of the BTU Group of Companies.
