Take a closer look at Garden Leisure dealer opportunities…
The Garden Leisure range of hot tubs is the global brand of SCP and Poolcorp, the largest pool and spa distribution business in the world. This forms an essential part of the Garden Leisure back-story for both retailers and end users.
The GL range is made in the USA by one of the largest hot tub manufacturers in the world, then distributed by the largest pool and spa wholesalers and then sold through a network of professional hot tub retailers. “Buying a hot tub is about trust; trusting the person you are buying from, the business they work for and then the brand,” says Paul Thomas, Wellness Business Development Executive for SCP UK.
“What is not to trust about the Garden Leisure story? Combined distribution and retail roles never work well in our industry,” Paul continues. “SCP distribute and never retail direct. “That means we will not supply internet only retailers, nor to we support nationwide selling. “Rather we encourage, support and protect local geographical retailer territories.”
ULTIMATE COMFORT
With every seat ergonomically designed for ultimate comfort whilst bathing, six Garden Leisure models sit comfortably into a two-step sales process for customers who are either looking for relaxation and family fun or looking for a tub that is more hydrotherapy based. Design–led, the middle four models all offer the same footprint, with either one or two pumps and all-seater or lounger options.
Paul again: “This is just the start of the range and it will develop over time with models added, that could include swim spas and roto-moulded spas. “Getting in now as a dealer will give you the opportunity not only to grow with the brand but have input into the brands growth,” adds Paul. Boasting full foam insulation for lower energy costs, the main selling point of the Garden Leisure range is its eco friendliness.
“Produced in the USA to meet the most stringent standards of the California Energy Commission – look no further for an energy efficient hot tub range,” urges Paul. “With running costs as low as £1.08 per day to maintain the temperature of the tub and then around 50p each time you use it, you spend more on your morning Costa.”
FLAGSHIP MODEL
Garden Leisure’s stand-out flagship model is the Garden 696L – the largest tub in the range. You will struggle to find a roomier six-seater hot tub; the highlight being the full body massage lounger with an outstanding array of jets covering your entire back from top to bottom.
The non-float lounger again is roomy, designed for comfort, with a truly cushioned headrest and wrap-around calf massage. Users can choose soft water massage or invigorating firm massage by using the several zonal air controls, with two powerful pumps to deliver the perfect massage.
Subtle lighting will only enhance the bathing experience with LED lights around the cabinet, footwell, waterline and backlit headrests that gently spill lighting upwards to truly set the mood. The 75sq ft filtration combined with ozone water management system, as standard, will ensure clean, safe bathing water.
CABINET COLOURS
There is a simple approach to options without a myriad of colours and options to confuse the sale, cabinets are either supplied in brown or charcoal with shells in either Alpine White or Midnight Opal. Paul adds: “We are not offering sound system options on this range – globally this is the single largest warranty claim and indeed out of warranty issue.
“These tubs are about tranquillity and hydrotherapy with low-energy usage. “Plus, you can buy an outdoor speaker that will achieve better sound quality for a fraction of the cost of one integrated into a tub.” There are no short corners on a true hydrotherapy offering with the ultimate mix of air and water delivered through the variety of jets.
“I consider this range right up there when it comes to hydrotherapy,” says Paul. “The water delivered to your body is through a variety of jets and the water pulses rather than just hitting your body.”
AIR ZONES
Each model has several zones where the air can be controlled to provide a tailor-made massage for each bather. Rotational jets of different sizes provide wide pulsing massage and the smaller trigger point jets a more detailed targeted massage to the areas of the body that need it most.
Supplied with a five-year shell warranty and two years on plumbing and components, crucially all parts are held in the UK with UK-based technical support on-hand. Generic components such as topsides, pumps or control packs, to replace out-of-warranty period parts, are available at competitive prices.
With several exclusive dealer territories areas available, SCP is keen to add to its Garden Leisure family of dealers. Paul says: “We will not put dealers one on top of the other and encourage all dealers to sell to their own territory. We do not want anyone having to get involved in a Dutch auction on price. These are great value hot tubs with good margins for dealers and we want to keep it that way.”
