Hythe Swimming Pool won a purple pool party after winning a competition organised by JAK Water Systems.

Hundreds of children enjoyed a unique dip in Hythe Swimming Pool recently, after it won a social media competition run by water treatment specialists JAK Water Systems.

The Kent pool received the most votes in an online poll and two bottles of purple dye were dispensed into the water. The competition was open to all of JAK’s Aqua Couleur commercial customers, who were asked to send in images of their colourful swimming pools. All of the images were then uploaded to JAK’s Facebook page and the image with the most ‘likes’ won two bottles of Aqua Couleur for a pool party in February half term.

“We had a great response to the competition. All sites had their own spin on it; some offered a pool party for the community, or even a private pool party for one of their sharers if they won,” says Sam Abbiss of JAK who organised the competition. “Hythe Swimming Pool was the clear winner with 672 votes, which is no mean feat for an independent pool that doesn’t even have a Facebook page! They just kept tagging all of their family and friends which helped them to win.”
