A niche within a niche, stainless-steel has earned itself a stand-out reputation within the specialist world of pool, spa and wellness invariably delivering the much sought-after wow factor. It is not just its good looks or stylish touch and feel that is attracting a passionate following.
Demand for stainless-steel shells and surfaces is also growing due to the ease of installation and the longevity the material offers. BESPOKE ORDERS
Leading exponents, SpaFlo heads a distinguished field in the manufacture, design, manufacture and installation of bespoke stainless-steel swim spas and hot tubs as well as design and manufacture of stainless-steel pools and spas. “The interest in stainless-steel products is shared across both commercial and high-end residential sectors,” shares Simon Sá Feio, SpaFlo’s Marketing and Communications Director.
“Whether that’s architects or designers, or a residential customer, who has come back from a skiing holiday or wellness retreat who wants something similar at home,” he continues. “Although we fulfil direct orders too, designing and fabricating pool and spa shells on behalf of pool builders, spa consultants, main contractors and architects represents about half of our business.”
SpaFlo company founder, Richard Gowland, studied BA (Hons) Design, Technology and Management at University. His first post graduate job was with a manufacturer and pool installer, followed by 12 months working in architecture, before being head-hunted back into the pool and wellness industry. Coming from a background in the design and architecture of high-end pools, Richard was convinced there was a niche for custom-designed and built stainless-steel options for the luxury market. His instinct has been proved right.
“We’re uniquely placed and trusted by the trade for our expertise and knowledge of working with stainless-steel, as we work exclusively with the material for all shells,” says Richard, who likes nothing more than rolling his sleeves up, designing and manufacturing spa shells and pool shells from SpaFlo’s Widnes manufacturing base. Over the course of 20 years Richard has overseen projects with stainless-steel elements and commercial spas which has led to an avid interest and enviable proficiency of working with stainless-steel.
NO LIMITS
There are literally no limits to the bells and whistles that SpaFlo can add to top drawer projects. “Everything is designed and manufactured in our UK workshop,” Richard confirms. “All our work is bespoke, all custom-built and delivered plumbed and ready for installation. The only limit is a client’s imagination.”
