THE POOLLAB® 2.0 can measure 24 pool water values and communicates instantly with LabCOM® cloud without the need to first connect to a smartphone.

Water-i.d. GmbH from Germany, which has successfully produced and distributed the PoolLab 1.0 since 2017, will offer a successor model, the PoolLab 2.0, from February this year. The PoolLab® 1.0 was already very popular, most recently with over 45,000 new users per year and its follow-up model is greatly anticipated. With PoolLab® 2.0, Water i.d.® wants to set new standards and is once again using the latest technology and other innovations winning Product Of The Year in the recent UK Pool & Spa Awards.

The PoolLab® 2.0 has not just one but three parallel measuring chambers, so that up to three water values can be measured in parallel. As with the PoolLab® 1.0, the permanently installed triple cuvette can also be exchanged in the PoolLab® 2.0. With the PoolLab® 2.0, too, the measurement result is obtained after only two keystrokes. The PoolLab® 2.0 can measure 24 pool water values (PoolLab 1.0 = 13), including hardness, copper, phosphate and much more in addition to chlorine, active oxygen, pH, alkalinity and cyanuric acid.

In addition to the Bluetooth® connection to the free LabCOM® app/software/cloud known from the PoolLab® 1.0, the PoolLab® 2.0 will also have a WiFi connection in order to be able to communicate instantly with the LabCOM® cloud without the need to first connect to a smartphone. This enables immediate synchronisation with the LabCOM® cloud, so that the measurement data will be available in ‘real time’ in the app, the software on the PC or tablet or in the browser (www.labcom.cloud). In addition, the user can create different water sources (e.g. “Pool 1”, “Pool 2”) via the app and save them on the PoolLab® 2.0 so that the measurement results are always stored and synchronised for the exact account.

Unlike the PoolLab® 1.0, the PoolLab® 2.0 has a large colour display with backlighting for easy operation. Like its predecessor, the PoolLab® 2.0 will also be IP68 waterproof so that the water to be measured can be scooped directly from the pool into the (replaceable) measuring chamber. The sophisticated, free LabCOM® app/software (both synchronised via the LabCOM® Cloud) for Android, iOS and Windows offers the user measurement data management and measurement reports at the touch of a button, as well as an active chlorine calculator, LSI calculation and the option to create dosing recommendations based on water care products individually entered by the user. Water-i.d.® GmbH states £150 as the recommended retail price for the PoolLab® 2.0, which is only 20 EUR more than for the predecessor model, whose RRP has remained unchanged at about £132 since 2017.
