Jimmy Lamb has joined Dryden Aqua as the UK and Ireland Sales Manager for pools and water treatment. Dryden Aqua is one of the largest manufacturer of glass filtration media, delivering sustainable and cost-effective solutions for the drinking and waste water industry, for aquaria and aquatic life support systems as well as for swimming pools worldwide.
Dryden Aqua’s AFM® Activated Filter Media is a direct replacement for sand, doubling the performance of sand filters without the need of additional investments in infrastructure. AFM® resists biofouling, bio-coagulation and transient wormhole channelling of unfiltered water and outlasts all other filter media. AFM® is a highly engineered product manufactured from a specific glass type, processed to obtain the optimum particle size and shape.
It is then exposed to a 3-step activation process to become self-sterilising and to acquire superior adsorption properties. A mix of retail and wholesale experience has provided Jimmy with a great understanding of the pool and spa industry. Jimmy is a Fellow and current President of ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers) and soon became the ‘go to man’ for all pool and spa water treatment and filtration enquiries.
A qualified engineer, Jimmy Lamb followed in his father John’s footsteps and joined swimming pool and spa water treatment giant, BioLab UK in 1999 as a field salesman. From 2005 – 2008, Jimmy created his own business selling, installing and servicing portable hot tubs before returning to BioLab in 2009 which quickly became part of European market leader in pool and spa water treatment, Bayrol.
From the beginning of 2012 Pollet Pool Group UK, were appointed as the exclusive distributor for Bayrol in the UK & Ireland. At that time, Jimmy was invited to join the PPG team as Bayrol Product Manager and went on to become the Commercial Manager.
