SUNBEACH FLEXES UK MUSCLE

WITH AN AREA OF 30,000sq ft, the new Sunbeach Spas base will allow for significantly more stock than is currently available.

Sunbeach Spas is in the final stages of a move to a new Midlands headquarters due to be completed before September this year. Only six miles up the road from their current base, the new location offers impressive transport links, being directly adjacent to the A38 and only three miles from J28 of the M1.

“This new location allows us to bring everything we have under one roof, whether it be stock or our staff, as the new building will encompass warehousing, offices and a showroom area,” comments Wayne Green. “We’re firmly set in the centre of the country where we’ve always been and where people expect to find us,” he adds.

With an area of 30,000sq ft, the new warehouse will allow Sunbeach to keep significantly more stock available than its current capacity. With a total area of 45,000 sq ft, Sunbeach will benefit from huge external space to have hot tubs, swim spas and sauna pods permanently set up as active displays, allowing live demonstrations at any time.

Currently undergoing a full renovation prior to the move the renovation looks on schedule for a September transfer. This stream-lined approach will enable the Sunbeach team tp cope with ever-increasing demand from upwards of 40 UK dealers.

WORK HAS ALREADY BEGUN on the bigger Sunbeach Spas, just six miles away from their current central England location.

OUTGROWN CAPACITY
“Simply put, we’ve outgrown the capacity that our current location can offer us, and with our new joint venture as Oasis Outdoor Living, we need space – and a lot of it,” Wayne sums up. “More fragmentation is not something we wish to consider, and so we need to move to bigger and better facilities,” he continues.

“Simplicity is our watchword for this new venture, and this should allow us to be more reactive to dealers requirements as their customer needs fluctuate,” he adds. Underlining Sunbeach’s energy efficiency credentials, the team will have its iNHEAT heat pump range powering our demonstration models. They are also investigating the installation of solar panels along the building’s roof with a view to becoming 100% renewable energy powered.

Wayne says: “With the extra space, we’re also able to provide better facilities for our hardworking team too, with spacious new offices, kitchen and eating areas, and gym/recreation/ shower facilities. “We’re also embracing new technologies by setting aside dedicated space to get high quality photos of our range with a view to using them in augmented reality (AR) applications, allowing customers to really get a solid idea of how a new spa will look in their gardens.”

Looking to the future, Sunbeach already have plans to expand following the move, securing first refusal on an adjacent unit that will become vacant in 2024. Wayne confirms: “This would more than double our new capacity and set us up for a very healthy future.”
