The UK Spa Association has implemented the first stage of its ‘State of the Industry’ Spa Survey. The survey is the first of its kind in the industry since 2006, and will dip a toe into the trends, issues and challenges facing the Spa industry, whilst giving a snapshot of where the industry stands right now particularly on key performance indicators.
Bobby Griffiths, General Manager of the UK Spa Association, said “The UK Spa Association are determined to gain momentum for the industry on key issues, which have stagnated and are not changing. “In order to do this, we need to know where the industry is at this point, so we can get a true gauge.
“This industry Snapshot is just the beginning. We will then be rolling out an ongoing monthly KPI data collection program for UKSA members.” The Association will follow-up on Survey results at November’s conference in Scotland that will focus on the dual themes of the wellness industry’s growth and disruption, and the evolving significance of water.
It will cover new trends in bathing, sauna, hot springs, cold immersion, and wild swimming, alongside discussions on the water-dependent wellness and spa sectors and their impact on sustainability.
