When health and fitness are a priority for pool customers, counter current jets allow them to bring the workout of a competition pool to their home within a fraction of the space. In fact, counter current units are an affordable way to turn any pool into a training exercise experience.

RELIABLE OPTIONS
Plastica offers a number of reliable options for counter current whether as part of new installations or as a retro-fit. For instance, the X-Stream Duo Counter Current unit is made with a stainless-steel niche and grab rail. It’s easy to install, gives a neater finish and is more powerful than it’s over-the-wall alternative.
The X-Stream Duo, which comes with two Espa Wiper pumps and gives an impressive 100m3/hr output. Each X-Stream Duo kit option comes with a complete plumbing kit and counter current controller. The duo unit has a sequential start system, so the pumps have a start delay between them. It is especially suited for the range of wooden pools manufactured by Plastica.
It uses pneumatic on/off switches, accessible from the pool to keep any electrics away from the pools water. Also featuring directional nozzles for fine adjustment of the flow. Ideal for fitness training, underwater massage and endless no-lap swimming, Plastica’s Counter Current Jet is perfect for any pool. The Jet has The water flow and bubble effect can be adjusted by rotating the valve and positioning the jet.
Plastica’s Counter Current Jet is made from a durable ABS structure and is suitable for installation in concrete and liner pools. When it comes to ‘through-the-wall units’ the SwimMasterTM counter current unit has been specifically chosen to complement Plastica’s range of Premium wooden pools, however it is not restricted to just wooden pools. This unit is suitable for most conventional pool structures.
Its sleek, minimalist design means it can be situated perfectly into Plastica’s wooden pools but they can also supply stainless steel extensions to allow simple installation into concrete pool structures. Coupled to the Nadorself 3hp jet pump, this unit is capable of flowing at up to 60m3/hr. A simple retro-fit in any swimming pool is Plastica’s ‘over-the-wall’ range.
The BADU Jet Perla or Riva units can be easily installed. Once primed, the BADU Jet Perla unit produces 40m3/ hr with a variable flow rate and a massage pressure of 0.9 bar. The Riva produces 54m3/hr. All the above units also have air injection via a Venturi system which is adjustable. Controls can be operated from the front face of the units.
