THE MARQUIS SPAS DIFFERENCE

For retailers looking to move away from commodity product selling and instead represent a premium American-built brand with genuine engineering identity, industry-leading margins, and a clear hydrotherapy philosophy, perhaps it is time to take another look at Marquis.

Marquis Spas® has been continuously part of the UK market since 2002. Most dealers know the name, or at least think they do.

“Marquis has never really tried to build ‘another box of water’ “ says Dan Johnson of HydroVue Ltd, Marquis Spas’s UK & EU Representative. “In today’s market, that matters more than ever,” he continues. Dealers are facing increasing pressure from product overlap, online pricing, endless specification comparisons, and customers who often struggle to understand why one spa costs more than another,” says Dan and he adds: “Too many products are beginning to look and feel remarkably similar.”

Rather than obsessing over jet count alone, Marquis spent decades focused on one simple question: How does the spa actually feel when the customer gets into it? Whilst much of the industry still relies heavily on high-pressure jet systems, Marquis developed a very different hydrotherapy philosophy. High-flow, low-pressure therapy designed to deliver deep tissue massage without the harsh stinging sensation many bathers simply accept as normal.

That thinking led to technologies such as Laminar Flow therapy, H.O.T. Zones™, WhiteWater4®, and the unique DFC (Dynamic Flow Control) valve system. The DFC valve allows users to redirect enormous water flow with little more than a fingertip, even under full pump output. Customers immediately notice the difference.

Dan again: “Products that genuinely look and feel different are easier to demonstrate, more memorable, and ultimately easier to sell. Alongside this, MicroSilk® continues to provide dealers with a strong demonstration tool and another genuine point of separation within an increasingly crowded market.”

Behind the scenes, Marquis has also undergone significant operational evolution. Recent investment, including the transition into a new manufacturing environment in Las Vegas, has helped further strengthen manufacturing consistency, wet testing, and quality assurance throughout production.

Actively seeking select dealer partners within the UK market, infrastructure across the UK and Europe has also evolved, with stock programmes now operating through new warehouse locations in both the UK and Rotterdam. There is also a new parts partnership with Vortex helping improve access to genuine Marquis parts throughout the region.

Importantly, Marquis also continues to support dealers through warranty labour reimbursement programmes, recognising that dealer support matters long after the spa is delivered.
