While women currently make up less than 10% of the ISPE membership, 40% of new student applications since the campaign began have come from women—a significant and encouraging shift.
Originally introduced around International Women’s Day, the campaign provided free enrolment and registration for new female students and waived entrance fees for new members. Due to its success, the offer has been extended until 30th June 2025, with a 20% discount available from 1st July.
We’re also proud to celebrate Kim Mumford, who has become the first woman to be awarded Fellowship of the Institute (FISPE). Her extensive work as a tutor, ex council member, and industry advocate makes this a milestone not just for Kim, but for ISPE’s history.
Our commitment continues: to improve gender representation, inspire future engineers, and ensure the pool industry remains welcoming, skilled, and diverse.
