Reporting exclusively from the recent AWG dealer seminar…
Dealers across the Aqua Warehouse Group family gathered for a recent seminar to hear about key products available through the spa and accessory distributor and how these products can help boost business in 2022.
In true AWG style there were elements of work as well as play held at the event at the outstanding Lion Inn Hotel and Conference Centre, near Chelmsford in Essex, in March.
With plenty of opportunity to renew friendships and establish new friendships, delegates were sure to leave the event with numerous ideas to enhance their business going forward.
As well as the in-house AWG team, speakers on the programme came from America, Australia, Canada and Holland while, closer to home, Christina Connor, the editor of Pool & Spa Scene magazine, stepped up to talk about the win, win benefits of the UK Pool & Spa Awards.
Managing Director Richard Hart greeted delegates to outline some of the key messages from AWG with updates on new and revamped products but above all, he emphasised, the event was about networking and making business fun.
“I love talking with you guys, hearing about your business, networking with you all and I hope you enjoy the event as much as I do because we want business to be fun,” he said.
BUSY PROGRAMME
Daniel Clarke spoke to delegates about the benefits of using the premium technology available through Spanet to boost business sales. Jim McClure, gave an update on Vita Spas and in particular the new swim spa production facility that will be opening in Iowa.

Roel Fassbender revealed updates from leading water care specialists, O-Care while Art Kessinger, of Spa Accessories USA, challenged dealers to take every opportunity with add-on business through accessory sales.
Not to miss out, AWG’s in-house team also stood up as part of busy programme. Thanking the dealer network for their continued support through sales, Martin Rigby, Business Development Manager, focused on the support available to the dealer network as well as the huge potential of stand-out products like the Remanso pergolas and Sizzler outdoor kitchens.
Andy Poole, Sales Manager, presented details of the company’s latest software support technology which includes unique augmented reality software enable end-users to virtually place spas in situ in their planned garden or hot tub space.
A relative newcomer to the AWG team, social media specialist, Jess Court, gave the inside track on the best social media channels for business.
MEDIA MIX
During the event, Richard Hart shared his thoughts on investing in a high-end showroom to display a constantly expanding product portfolio and how it will pay off.
He also shared innovations from Reef Spa, revealing a new swim spa which will be imminently available in the UK.
Richard hoped the successful retailers to spend a little, and save a little, to ensure business is kept stable urging delegates to reinvest in business through training; putting staff first, even before clients.
Delegates then had the opportunity to visit the revamped Aqua Warehouse Group showroom, winner of Showroom Of The Year in the recent UK Pool & Spa Awards to see first-hand how the team like to practise what they preach.
